Editorial policy

How content on cherrypaymentplansusa.com is researched, calculated, reviewed, updated and corrected by the editorial team — and what we will never do to a number to make a plan look better.

Six principles

What every page has to pass

01

Primary sources, cited by type

Plan amounts, APR ranges, fees, approval validity and credit-reporting rules are taken from the provider's published terms, help center, lending-partner disclosures and regulatory filings. Review sites and forums inform what questions we answer, never what the answer is.

02

Payments are calculated, not estimated

Monthly figures use standard amortisation: payment = P × r ÷ (1 − (1 + r)−n) with r = APR ÷ 12. We round to the nearest dollar, state the APR and term under every table, and never show a 0% figure unless the plan is true 0% with no deferred interest.

03

Costs are illustrative, and say so

Treatment prices are national averages for the United States and vary by city and practice. We label them "typical" and link to the calculator so readers can run their own quote.

04

The downside sits next to the upside

Down payments, the $15 late fee, the 30-day approval window, the 7-day checkout link, bureau reporting and refund mechanics appear on the same page as any 0% APR or approval-rate claim.

05

Two-person review

A financing editor writes; a lending-side reviewer checks every number against source before publication and at each scheduled re-check. Provider pages get an additional practice-side review.

06

No pay-to-rank

Comparison pages are ordered by relevance to the reader's question. Compensation, if any, never changes which products appear, their order, or the figures shown — see disclosures.

Corrections

When we get something wrong

1Report it — any page, any number — via the contact page with what you saw and where.
2The reviewer checks the source within two business days. If we're wrong, the page is fixed and the last-reviewed date updated.
3Material corrections (a wrong APR, fee or limit) carry a dated correction note on the page for 90 days.
