Example: A $1,200 emergency vet bill splits into $300 at checkout, then $300 every two weeks for six weeks. Total paid: $1,200. Total interest: $0.

Monthly 0% APR

0% for 3–24 mo
  • AmountUp to $50,000
  • APR0% (qualifying)
  • TypeTrue 0%, not deferred
  • PrepaymentFree, any time

When you qualify for a promotional monthly plan, the 0% APR is real — not a deferred-interest trap that back-charges you retroactively if you miss the finish line. As long as you make on-time payments through the term, you pay zero interest, period.

Term length depends on the participating provider's plan tier. Some practices offer 6-month 0% APR; others enable 12, 18, or 24 months of interest-free financing on the same purchase.

  • No interest accrues during the term
  • Never applied retroactively if completed on time
  • Past-due payments may add interest going forward only
  • Prepayment is always penalty-free
Example: Finance $4,800 in orthodontic treatment over 24 months at 0% APR → $200 per month, $200 due at checkout, $4,800 total paid.

Monthly financing

Up to $65,000
  • TermUp to 60 months
  • APR5.99% – 35.99%
  • FocusLowest monthly payment
  • FeesNo origination fee

For larger procedures — full-mouth reconstruction, cosmetic surgery, orthopedic care, IVF — spreading the cost over a longer term keeps the monthly payment small enough to fit your budget. Interest-bearing plans start as low as 5.99% APR for qualifying borrowers and cap at 35.99%.

Your exact APR is set at approval based on credit profile, income, and existing debt. Total finance charges are disclosed clearly before you accept — no surprises, no hidden fees.

Example: Finance $15,000 in cosmetic surgery over 60 months at 12.99% APR → about $341 per month. Total finance charge over five years is roughly $5,461.
Interest-bearing plans make sense when the longer term is what makes the payment work. If you can afford a shorter term or a promotional 0% offer, that's almost always cheaper overall.

Waived Interest Promotion

100% rebate
  • AvailabilitySelect providers
  • TermSet by promo end date
  • ConditionPay off before end date
  • StructureInterest credited back

Only offered by providers who have specifically opted in. It works differently from promotional 0% APR: interest accrues as normal, but if you pay off the entire principal (plus any fees) before the Promotion End Date, you receive a credit for 100% of the accrued interest — effectively making the plan interest-free.

Two conditions must be met: every scheduled payment must be made within 15 days of its due date, and the full principal must be paid off on or before the Promotion End Date, which falls earlier than the final scheduled payment.

  • Standard schedule only = no credit earned
  • No prepayment penalty, no downside to trying
  • Different from true 0% APR — check your agreement
  • All payments must be within 15 days of due date
Example: $1,000 over 24 months at 17.8% APR with a 12-month promotion → pay off the remaining balance by month 12 and 100% of the accrued interest is credited back.

The process

From application to first payment

Three steps. Most people get a decision in under a minute and walk into their appointment the same day.

1

Apply in about 60 seconds

Enter basic info from any phone or laptop. We run a soft credit check — your score isn't affected. Most applicants see their approved amount immediately. Start your application →

2

Choose a plan at checkout

Your provider sends a checkout link. Preview every option — monthly payment, APR, total cost — before you accept. Pay the down payment by debit or credit card.

3

Pay monthly, on your schedule

Your provider is paid up front, usually within 2–3 business days. You pay monthly through the portal by ACH, debit, or credit. Autopay and due-date changes are one tap away. Managing your payments →

Approval & reporting

What goes into a decision

There's no fixed minimum credit score. We look at the full picture — and we're transparent about what happens after you're approved.

How approval works

Underwriting looks at credit profile, income, existing debt, and payment history to decide which plan and terms you qualify for. Pay-in-4 approvals come through for roughly 90% of applicants; longer monthly plans are underwritten more selectively, and the amount and APR you're offered scale with your credit strength.

If you're declined, you'll receive an Adverse Action Letter in your account explaining the specific reasons. Denials can't be appealed, but you can reapply once the waiting period ends.

Full credit score & approval guide

How credit reporting works

Once your plan is active, we begin reporting to Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion approximately 30 days after your first payment. On-time payments help build your credit history; missed payments are reported at 30, 60, and 90 days past due.

An account unpaid for 120 days is charged off and reported as such. Paying off a charge-off updates the status to "Paid" or "Settled" but doesn't remove the entry from your report.

Approved before I finished my coffee

My dentist quoted $4,200 for two implants and I was ready to walk out. Front desk sent a text link, I filled it in on my phone, and had a 24-month 0% plan before the consult was over. No hard pull, exactly as advertised.

Saved our dog on a Sunday

Emergency vet, $1,200, and the clinic closed in an hour. Pay-in-4 split it into $300 today and three more every two weeks. Zero interest. I genuinely don't know what we would have done otherwise.

The 0% APR was actually 0%

I've been burned by "deferred interest" cards before, so I read every line. 24 months, $113 a month, and when I paid it off in month 15 there was no fee and no catch. Credit score went up 31 points from the on-time reporting.

Great option, just budget for the down payment

LASIK for both eyes at $4,400 over 60 months came out to $91/mo, which is fantastic. One thing I didn't expect: the first payment is due at checkout, so bring that with you. Otherwise the process was smooth and support answered my email the same day.

Common questions

Cherry Payment Plans FAQ

Does applying affect my credit score?
No. We run a soft credit inquiry to determine your offer, which doesn't affect your score in any way. If you accept a plan and it becomes active, we begin reporting your payment history to the bureaus within about 30 days.
Is there a minimum credit score to qualify?
No hard cutoff. Underwriting considers your full financial picture — credit history, income, existing debt, and payment behavior. Applicants with less-than-perfect credit can often still qualify for Pay-in-4 or the Quick Cash Plan. See the full credit score guide →
How is the Quick Cash Plan different from Pay-in-4?
Pay-in-4 splits your bill into four interest-free payments over six weeks and works best for amounts up to $2,000. The Quick Cash Plan covers bills from $200 to $5,000 that you'd rather spread over 3 to 24 months — a longer commitment, but a much smaller monthly payment.
Is the 0% APR real or deferred interest?
It's real. On qualifying promotional plans, no interest accrues during the term and none can be applied retroactively if you complete the plan on time. This is fundamentally different from deferred-interest programs common with medical credit cards.
What happens if I miss a payment?
A $15 late fee applies if your scheduled payment isn't received within 15 days of the due date. Missed payments are reported to Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion at 30, 60, and 90 days past due. If you know a payment will be late, contact us before the due date — we can often work out an alternative.
Can I pay off my plan early?
Yes, at any time, with no fee or penalty. Log in, choose the plan, and select "Pay off payment plan." The full remaining balance clears immediately. Step-by-step →
Can I use my HSA or FSA to pay?
Not directly — HSA and FSA cards can't be used inside the payment portal. You can pay with a regular debit card, then submit the receipt to your HSA or FSA administrator for reimbursement.
How long is my approval good for?
Approvals are valid for at least 30 days, sometimes longer depending on the provider. The exact expiration is shown on the Applications page of your account. If it expires, you can quickly reapply with the same soft credit check. More on approvals and checkout links →
Can I use one approval at multiple providers?
Each approval is tied to the specific provider where you applied. If you're approved for $5,000 at two providers, your total available financing is still $5,000 — you can split it between them but not exceed the maximum.
What if I was denied? Can I appeal?
Denials can't be appealed or reversed. You'll receive an Adverse Action Letter in your account explaining the reasons — usually credit score, history, income, or debt-to-income ratio. If you believe there's an error on your credit report, contact the bureaus before reapplying. Why applications get declined →
Who is my agreement actually with?
Depending on the plan and your state, your paperwork is either a Loan Agreement issued by our partner lending bank or a Retail Installment Sales Contract issued by the participating provider and serviced by us. The specific document is disclosed before you accept. Read our disclosures →
How does Cherry compare to CareCredit?
The biggest differences: Cherry uses a soft credit check while CareCredit runs a hard inquiry, and Cherry's 0% APR plans are true 0% rather than deferred interest that can be charged retroactively. Full Cherry vs CareCredit comparison →
Can I use Cherry for Botox, filler, or other med spa treatments?
Yes — medical aesthetics is one of the largest categories on the platform, and Allē members can even check out inside the Allē app. See med spa payment plans →
How do I log in to my account?
Log in with the mobile number you used at application. We text you a verification code to sign in. If you're having trouble, our support team can reset your access.
